Whoa long time no see
Right! Haha it’s been a minute man!

Got some updates on the car, I decided to go ahead and just buy an engine that was more local, got it home and started tearing into it and cleaning it up, replaced all of the gaskets and pulleys, now I just need to get the upgraded clutch and long tube headers and she’ll be ready for install!
Still looking for the black interior though 2B568442-8511-4F21-9AF0-7B4D9CDD5CEB.jpegC7A69C2E-DA4D-4859-AC74-73E0B4E4F4B7.jpeg

This will be my stopping point for the next couple weeks atleast, all new gaskets top to bottom from the intake manifold down to the oil pan. Cleaned up the intake manifold, removed the stock exhaust manifold studs to replace them with BBK bolts. Everything is cleaned up and ready for install, just need my McLeod clutch kit, clutch fork, pivot ball, OEM TOB, BBK long tube headers, and SLP LM1 catback. After that I’ll be on the hunt for a complete charcoal interior to replace the ugly gray interior and then finally paint. It was originally Atlantic Blue but I’m thinking of doing Sonic Blue99C4F39D-B099-44ED-8AF6-AF3F13B340E2.jpeg13260667-A291-4958-A1F7-C5630446C071.jpeg647E47EC-27ED-4070-B84A-3021EC547122.jpeg0535875F-CAFE-44A6-B49A-7DB450A9448A.jpeg

Whites right, but smart move getting it running. One thing we dont hear about the dorman intake is its junk....never hear it. It must be a quality piece. It just chokes the engine.

Bulid is looking good

Since the topic was mentioned, ill let out what ive been pursuing.

Ive been playing around on CAD with intake designs for a 4.6l sohc and dohc for awhile now. My designs were nothing fancy and typically within my realm of abilities to produce in my shop only come to the conclusions extensive tig welding is required. This is something i have very limited experience in and has always been the roadblock moving forward, but me poking at CAD designs have opened my eyes to possible ideas.

I work for the oem 4.6l intake manufacturer and i see possibilities with injected plastics, i am in talks with the marketing engineering team of possible 2pc 2v aftermarket intake much like an LS 2pc intake. Only the 2pc is actually 1pc used in a pair to make a whole manifold. No crossover water channel. A stock water channel will have to be used.

Its all just an idea right now. Net return is a big question and the answer i do not have, but i strongly believe this company could over take the modular manifold market.

Best part of the 2pc manifold, a middle spacer would be available for the wider 5.4l.

Got a question for y’all, so the PCV that came with the engine I bought it totally different from the one that came on my old engine. Problem is my old PCV won’t fix in the valve cover because the one on the new engine is a screw in style PCV. Should I be okay using the screw in style PCV?682A286B-47B2-49AB-B1A7-64D38246B0E1.png
