"Sadly"? Haha, you must be recently divorced. In time you'll realize it's the best thing that could have happened.

Hell I divorced a bitter fat woman. (She blamed me for her getting fat, lol.) She left me while I was in Iraq and I was broken up about it. Then after I got back to the states I sold all my cars, gave her the house, bought a new car and moved out of state. Now I'm happily remarried, rebuilt my life and am more successful than I ever was. (And now with more support.)

Sxynerd made me Fat!!!!

LOLOLLOLOLLZ
that's just funny man!

I dunno if I can pick out one best thing.
I'd narrow it down to my epson projector, speedglass welding hood I've had for 10 years, and my PC orbital.
I use them all regularly and have had no problems.

for what little money i have, i have bought some nice things in the past, ie. like my favorite bass guitar, 46" plasma tv, my cars, etc. but even though im not exactly a kid anymore, i still think the best thing ive (ever? dont know about that, as i dont have a recollection of every thing i have bought in my lifetime) bought was (and i understand how this looks, but its not for the obvious reasons you think), was probably my xbox 360. i bought it back in college to replace my playstation, and it turned from being solely for video game entertainment, into a way for me to verbally and interactively keep in touch with some old college friends (one of which is probably my best friend eventhough he lives a few hundred miles away), that i probably would have never talked to again after college if it hadnt been for the xbox.

i wouldnt call myself a video game nerd by any means, although i do enjoy my share of video games here and there, but since being a few hundred miles away from some of my best college buddies (which we hardly played any video games in college), its a great way to be able to keep in-touch with them without having to have awkward man-calls on the phone, or rely on a social networking website like Facebook or Myspace.

If verizon gets the iphone I will be a happy camper.
although i was originally told that when AT&T's exclusive contract with Apple ends in January it will be available for other carriers (specifically Verizon), the last report that ive heard, was that it will be available on the Verizon network in the 3rd quarter of this year.

having an iTouch already, ill probably just get the latest BB Storm when my contract expires in August.

Recently divorced no. It was finalized July 11th 2006. It was the best thing I have done for my life as she started "dating" another guy when I was working 3ed shift full time and was a full time college student (I was at home a total of 5 hours a day so I could sleep). She was also a shrewd thankless midgetass bitch (she was 4'5" so technically a dwarf). But in the end she got what she wanted, kids, a house, and a fuck-ton of debt. LOL

I said sadly because you'd think I would have purchased something a lot funner then that. Although I am just now getting my live on track after my car accident and losing my job (both of which happened the same year as my divorced (and all three in that short of time left me carless/jobless/and living back with mommy and daddy). Been dating an awesome girl (who is normal sized 5'4"), just bought a house (although it needs a ton of work), got an '03 Focus & my '94 Mustang (which also needs a lot of work lol), and a decent job that pays fairly well. Hopefully soon I can re-acquire my gun collection.

I fell asleep while driving a '99 Silverado Z71 and went in the ditch and rolled it a bit. Ended up on it's roof (which caved in). Got a cool little ambulance ride and sat in the ER a bit. Truck was totaled, had a $1000 ambulance bill (40 minute drive to the hospital), and I can't even remember how much the ER bill was, broke my glasses and lost my cell phone in the crash. I felt somewhat fine but I was oozing blood from the side of my head where the roof caved in on me, had several cuts/scrapes and bruises My one arm looks like it has albino freckles from all the scars from it going through the back window. LOL Other then that I was good. The loan for the truck was way more then the value of it (due to the divorce) so my car insurance wouldn't cover the entire loan of the truck (I had to pay $3k out of pocket on the loan). My auto insurance did cover 1/2 the ER bill which was nice but after that it was "maxed out" and everything else I had to pay out of pocket. All about 3 month after I lost my job and 6 months after me and my ex separated and filed for divorce. Needless to say I owed a lot of people money after that. :BangHead:

Well, i'm glad things are getting back in order. My divorce was finalized Jan 1 2006 and I couldn't have asked for a better new years, lol. It funny you sadi she got the house and it's debt... (Story Time)

When I gave my ex the house, we had $135k in equity so she clearly had a good deal since I gave it all up for nothing except what I could fit in my mustang. But, the story gets better... She was stuck under her parents thumb and out of the 7 years we were married, her meddlesome parents lived with us for 6. I was deployed for the only time her parents didn't live with us. Her parents right after I left convinced her to refinance the house because her aunt was going to loose her bowling ally in Reno Nv. The agreement was that they were going to make the $2,000 mortgage payments on the house till teh debt was paid off then one year after. Guess what??? They never made a single payment and they foreclosed on her $300,000 house. With a masters degree in multimedia/interactive design, last I knew she was working at the Mac store and waitress at night, lol

Meanwhile, I'm married to a great beautiful faithful woman who's 8 years younger than me that has a masters in education. I'm faculty at a college and a graduate student. We have everything we could ever ask for. If there's one thing I've learned in life its, You got to crawl through hell to get to heaven.

I'm glad everything is going great for you. I don't think I'll remarry anytime soon. My girlfriend doesn't wanna remarry anytime soon either (she is going through a divorce right now but they have been separated for almost 4 years). Hell we may have kids before we remarry. lol

There are pictures on here somewhere of the wreckage. lol

It was definitely a hectic time for sure. I worked a ton of overtime at work to get everyone paid back. One even helped me out by giving me a deal on his mustang (my '94) that he was working on de-ricing.

Yeah. Back to square one and a little beyond. :headbang: I hated owing people money. That's the worst cause then when you see them you always feel obligated to give them something no matter what, even if you see them everyday you wanna give them something every time.

I think they are in the automotive fail thread.
