What's up everyone, Justyn here. I have a few questions that if someone could help me out with that would be great.
Okay so I am looking to buy a new vehicle and it's going to be an SN-95 "New Edge" probably an 04 From my research so far the 04 is probably going to best suit my needs.

So for my questions, I know there is a 2V and a 4v engine, now I don't know what mustang comes with them. If I'm correct does the regular GT come with a 2v and the SVT with A 4v or what? I
am more than likely going to get a regular GT which I think is the 2V so when I start to upgrade it wouldnt I just get cobra heads and have almost the same setup as an SVT? If someone could clarify this it would be really helpful in my planning process for this stang.

You are correct. The GT got the 2V modulars. The MACH 1 & Cobras got the 4V versions. ('03/'04 Cobras are supercharged)

1994-1995 GT = 2v pushrod OHV v8
1994-1995 Cobra = 2v pushrod OHV v8
1996-2004 GT = 2v Modular SOHC V8 - (head design was changed in 1999)
1996-1999 Cobra = 4v Modular DOHC V8 - (head design was changed in 1999)
2001 Cobra = 4v Modular DOHC V8 - (With new head design as well)
2003/2004 cobra = 4v Modular DOHC V8 - (with new head design and supercharger)
2003/2004 Mach 1 = 4v Modular DOHC V8 - (no supercharger)

Then we have a total different can of worms in 2005-2010 and 2011+

This is great info thanks! So I guess if it's possible I should try to get my hands on mach1? I think the cobras might still be out of my price range. Either way I go I want to upgrade the heads eventually.

the cost of making 4v heads work on a 2v is supposed to be not worth it, I dont really know what it involves, something like drilling a coolant hole in the block or heads (not sure), but I think its cheaper to actually swap in a complete 4V....I'm sure someone with more knowledge on that will chime in.
