Well that’s disappointing. This is a sign that I might wanna pause here and start working on getting another transmission. Damn

I just tore mine apart and had the same crap in my pan, but everything looked fine inside except for some suspect wear on the direct drum. Waiting for lwarrior to take a looksy at my pics and see what he thinks.

I’m still hopeful. No big shavings there but I know what that could mean. But this heat!!! The index was 115 today so I did most of this while there was an overcast. Gonna try to continue tomorrow and fingers crossed I get a fully working trans outta this.

Yeah, I pulled my trans and took it apart. Like I said I didn't see anything unusual except for normal wear.

I’m hoping not that’s all because when we had the engine out to swap we checked what we could and it seemed well. Then I had to change the Shift Solenoid but I and changed the screen and had to flush the fluid when I had to deal with the radiator. I didn’t take a great look at the pan so hopefully everything is okay and when I go back up after changing this OD Servo (barring there are no other issues) and all is well. Again fingers crossed.

Well the search is on. Trans swap imminent. Time to put this pan back on so I can take everything off again. Found a transmission and hopefully will be going up this weekend.

Yeah, it is said that if the gasket sticks to the trans like that it means it overheated (per Hiram Gutierrez... @lwarrior1016 see my knowledge... lol), ya probably have burnt clutches and bands.

Well it’s down. These Trans oil Coolant Lines will NOT come off. Gotta think of what to do there but... it’s down and partially apart.

I had to get flare nut wrenches to get them off, and still busted knuckles on them, but they cam loose.

Lol I liked it better with the full slab of concrete but in this case I have no choice. I’m getting it done though the weather always plays a part.
