I plan on doing the IRS swap too, just trying to find someone that has everything and wants to swap to solid axle. That way it will be easier.

Pros- Better more comfortable ride when compared to the 94-98 suspension.
The look of that sweet a*s IRS exhaust
Handle great around curves
Cons-Heavier by around 75-90lbs
Wheelhop is an issue if bushings not upgraded

You'll be happy with it once you do the swap, just make sure the IRS is in good shape (bushing wise). If you do find a person to swap with, ask them to take you for a ride so you can see and feel how that particular IRS handles and behaves. My friends old 03 cobra handles poorly since his car had bad bushings in it already from thousands of miles of abuse.

Their bushing kits will eliminate wheelhop...best kit on the market. I'm going to use their differential bushings along with my current billetflow diff brace. I don't need the full kit since I don't take my car to the road course and I only take it to the track once or twice a year.

It bolts right in, only issue is the bracket that replaces your quad shocks has two extra bolt holes that you would have to make holes in your chassis for. It will still bolt on just fine, those two extra bolts were put there for reinforcement purposes?

Also on your passenger side you gotta pop a small bracket or two off that hold your fuel lines or else the bracket i mentioned won't work as it would crush the fuel lines if you dont move them.

First off finding someone that wants to trade an IRS for a stock 8.8 will be very very hard. I mean i consider mine mildly built and no one around here will trade me.

Just so you know, solid axle does just fine on the track. I've got a torque arm car, and I have no problems with rear traction what so ever. It's not as comfortable as IRS, but believe me, front end will let go way before rear will.
