Im thinking of going IRS in the spring or summer next year. Can whoever has/had IRS please tell me the pros and cons of having the IRS. How hard would it be to put in my 95? thanks for all the help guys
Shifty Powers said:^ try and do what hes doing.. find someone with an IRS car that wants a solid.. and swap that ish at the same time..
Why are u looking to go IRS? Better comfort since ur car might be a DD?
Mystic SVT said:Pros- Better more comfortable ride when compared to the 94-98 suspension.
The look of that sweet a*s IRS exhaust
Handle great around curves
Cons-Heavier by around 75-90lbs
Wheelhop is an issue if bushings not upgraded
You'll be happy with it once you do the swap, just make sure the IRS is in good shape (bushing wise). If you do find a person to swap with, ask them to take you for a ride so you can see and feel how that particular IRS handles and behaves. My friends old 03 cobra handles poorly since his car had bad bushings in it already from thousands of miles of abuse.
Mystic SVT said:Their bushing kits will eliminate wheelhop...best kit on the market. I'm going to use their differential bushings along with my current billetflow diff brace. I don't need the full kit since I don't take my car to the road course and I only take it to the track once or twice a year.

Shifty Powers said:funny... Sucks u live there.. just found a guy in NJ willing to trade straight up...
Also found an IRS for sale for 500..
Good luck on ur search! Ill let you know if i come across anything near you
