Okay so my eighteenth birthday is coming up really soon and I can not pick a gift. I have narrowed it down to two thing, so I thought I'd ask you guys.

I can either get a set of 17 inch bullitt wheels: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/wat/pts/3140554512.html
Or I could get a sound system and headlights. I have a friend who can get sound systems cheap, so they end up being the same price.
Also I drive a 96 V6 with the forsaken tricycle wheels.

If I get the wheels with it have any problems, like the speedometer being off?
I hope this is the right forum to post this in, if not sorry. All input would be nice.

I would suggest getting the wheels. It will be easier to save up for a set of headlights or stereo system later.

bullits are gay. i would say system and lighting. seeing its a v6 car. but as long as those retarded bullits are made for 94-04 mustangs you will be fine for fitment issue just dont go with 05+ wheels offsets are different and make the rear look funny trust me i hve that issue. and the speedo might be off a couple mph up or down but im not totally sure and wouldnt worry to much just find one of those speed trap things and test it that way if you do get wheels

Wheels and save for a set of lowering springs. The headlights you can clean and leave decent with a buffer and the right compound. I'd say get stereo last, maybe I'm getting old but I don't like listening to music that loud anymore or maybe it was the noise tickets that got me I dunno

nevermind about the WMM. They lack color. lol Do the wheel deal. Otherwise it'll be a bunch of money later. A stereo doesn't have to be loud to sound good. and fleebay head lights are just as good as the AM ones. that's my .02

Get the wheels, but for the love of all that is holy please don't get OEM Bullitts. Even 95Rs would look better on your car. If it has to be an OEM wheel why not polished 97/98 GT wheels, or 03/04 Cobras, or even 99/01 Cobras.

I can't wait to get rid of my Bullitts. Ugh.

I'd say go with wheels but like said I"m not sure OEM bullitts are the best bet, also those don't have the proper size tires on two of the wheels. as long as you get the right size tires though the speedo should be the same.

Hahahaha, actually I would love an upgraded sound system! The ONLY problem with that is that my car would no longer have wheels! I do want to get rid of mine though!

See the only reason I was looking to get those is the price. Im sure if I saved up, I could find some nice wheels. I do like the black Cobra wheels on white cars, plus I have black-out taillights.

Yeah I'll keep my eye out for some off those. Your car is one of my favorites I've seen in a while. I never would have thought of gold wheels.
