hey guys, i installed my throttle body spacers, that i bought from mustangchris, yesterday, and i want to know why it makes the car feel so jumpy, and so much more responsive , and how just that half inch- 1 inch makes so much of a difference?

Real simple answer: It increases the space between your metering device and you cylinder thus allowing more air in for a larger explosion. Its a little more indepth then that, but on the short answer thats it.

throttle body spacers basically add cross section to your intake manifold which is good for low to midrange torque, doesnt help top end much. USUALLY they arent even a noticeable upgrade, but you know how some people can feel 2-3whp. throttle response is increased which is what most people are feeling if anything.

does the EXACT same thing a plenum spacer does, and i've never seen anyone report any butt dyno gains from a plenum spacer. hell i've done throttle body/plenum/cai all at the same time on a 00 GT and honestly think it might have made a negative difference at all but 4500rpm and up...

i dunno, i put on both the plenum, and tb spacer, and it feels jumpier...

thats the throttle response i'm talking about. usually doesnt feel as LAZY on small throttle changes, if that makes sense. but at WOT the dyno doesnt show much. its more of a "driving feel" mod.
