K I just notiched sitting at a wendys drive thru a new noise coming from my car, it almost sounds like a tob( throw out bearing) or pilot bearing, or slipping pulley belts, but i then pressed in the clutch and it went away, then in neutral and i let the clutch out the noise comes back, push it in again problem solved, sounds like throw out bearing. My question is and im confused, I have all new parts with in the last year i have done a whole new motor swap, last year I did a new clutch clutch cable, new centerforce clutch , tremec tk0500 transmission ect, I have prob 5,000 miles on the motor and clutch max, and 3,000 miles on new drivetrain / transmission, and I just rebuilt the motor again, I dont ride the clutch or drive alot or race, or dump it, so how could a throw out bearing go bad so fast?

Is this covered by warrany at the garage its all new parts, i mean 3-5k miles max, that sounds to quick, its a centerforce clutch, I can only think I was told the throw out bearing is cheap and plastic and wears out fast, cheap part but $ and pain to change gotta take out the whole transmission 3-5 hours labor / partss, and was told to do a new clutch while in there this SUX!! any input or help much appreciated.

Another thing is how long can I drive without further problems with this, it just started the other and its very quiet but I kno it will get louder.

:wall: :happydrunks:

Thanks

If it really bugs you get a BCA throwout bearing (its got all metal construction and is awesome) for 30 bucks or so and get it put in.

But the reason its making noise is because the T.O. you used is a cheap piece of crap.

Please tell us more about the BCA TOB, I'm not far from having to do mine... Everywhere I've read says the OEM Ford TOB is best for all intents and purposes

You can probably grab one at one of the chain stores. I usually buy mine at NAPA.
Here's the part number... BCA / National (Federal Mogul) #614014
They are a few bucks more than a regular one and just about as much as a Ford OEM, but once you see it up close youu'll know why its better. I get them for about 34 bucks.
All metal construction FTW. I have had one in my stroker GT with a Ram HD clutch and that SOB has NEVER made the famous Mustang chirp. Anything with an ALL STEEL construction will be quiet. The cheap ones are, well...cheap.
