So now that my arm is finally healed enough, hyper extended elbow :crybaby2:

I was able to take down the transmission today to inspect the damage, and to determine since I dont know what clutch was in there 10.5in. or 11in. before I order the clutch, because with my luck I would order the 10.5in. clutch and the car would need an 11in. here is what I found... :BangHead:

Slightly damaged throwout bearing :angry4:

the only inconvenient thing is that this is my daily driver! so having it up on stands, and now waiting for parts to arrive is absolutely no fun :dontknow:

The SVE Mongoose and the Steeda adj cable with triple hook quadrant and firewall adjuster has me at just under $300 shipped....

Advance Auto Parts oem style clutch was $259 and their non adjustable cable was $40 and the items also needed to be ordered and would take 3-5 days! the only positive about the parts store parts were the warranty Limited Lifetime on the clutch which means a free replacement when it wears and 1 year on the cable! but I'l wait a few days for performance parts instead...

Most people have alot of problems with those adjustable cables.. They usually snap very often.

OEM Ford cable is the only way to go! I had a crappy aftermarket adjustable one, here is a pic of it about 2 days before I replaced it, I had it installed for about 6 months.

Well, I decided I didn't want to wait for shipping so I drove To Deland, Fl and picked up a RAM HD clutch kit and a Ford Racing hd cable and quadrant kit! they're about an hour away but at least I can get my car up and running sooner than I would have, had I waited from an order to arrive from Latemodelresto.com parts look really good, clutch look's like a nice quality piece!!! and both items were $276 out the door...

You would have been disapointed with the mongoose clutch anyway, I burnt it up in about 4 months in my DD. Makes sure you get that flywheel resurfaced or you'll kick yourself in the ass when you have to do the job again.
