yeah you can get the tranny dropped in about 30 min. While your down there make sure you have the flywheel resurfaced.

Did I mention I hate transmission work LOL. Its been in the shop since last Friday anyways, I'll be picking it up tomorrow

$518 the first time...$250 for TOB only a month later...$1000 a week later for another new Clutch, Flywheel, TOB, Pilot Bearing, Clutch fork...but I was 400 miles from home! So $1768 total for a stock Ford clutch!

as much as i hate wrangling my tko ill do it repeatedly to ditch spending astronomical amounts to fix it.
then the way i drive do it again a year later.

You do have a good point, however atleast getting done from a shop you can feel safe that if anything goes wrong its covered.

UPDATE: I finally heard back from F+ Transmission, and to be honest.... They are the most crooked lying money stealing shop I've ever been to. I am having my car towed from their shop tomorrow to Allies Automotive which is a shop that does work specifically on Mustangs. Gonna have my transmission rebuilt there...

All they did was tore my transmission apart and said that I needed a transmission rebuild and that my clutch cable was also worn. Which is a BS story because I have dealt with some shitty clutch cables in the past and this one is by far the smoothest. It never had any slack or was never too stiff. Then they faxed me a copy of the parts they wanted to replace... Lets just say it consists of every part in the transmission... They tried telling me it would cost $2700 to fix it... I dont think so..

No way in hell you can go from a car on the ground, to pulling the transmission in 30 minutes. No way, no how.

Sure you can. If you don't have heavy PIA stock exhaust, I could see the trans out in that time no problem if you've done it before and you know your way around an impact wrench.

If you a start a timer after the car has been raised high enough on jackstands, I can drop it in 1/2 hour with my impact and air ratchet

Once the cars airborne you can have the trans out in 30 mins easily

Alright so the car is in better hands. Its now at Allies Automotive, Apparently I have an upgraded transmission... I think he said its a T3650 transmission. Good news too he said it seems like its just a bearing

So I spoke with Allies Automotive today, and I got some good news.
They told me that the Throwout Bearing was infact gone, however my clutch was fried and my flywheel had cracks in it.
He told me they would fix all of it for $560 + $75 towing fee.
I told him to go ahead and fix them. I told him I will have to come up with the money to get the $560 and he said, if I could just get half of it we could work something out
