Tie rod castle nut

Changing out my front suspension, decided to do tie rod ends. Found my car had aftermarket tie rod ends on it so I ordered Motorcraft. Got it all buttoned up and ready to drop and discovered the castle but from the aftermarket set is different.

Going to various Ford parts sites, none of the diagrams show the appropriate Ford castle nut

I think it’s 1/2-20, and I can find Chinese cheapo nuts everywhere, but I’d rather use something a bit more robust for obvious reasons.

Anyone got a Ford part number so I can pick up a pair of nuts?

If tie rod ends are aftermarket new
the castle nuts will differ

You are right. Looks like the Motorcraft tie rods are looking for an M12 castle nut. The aftermarkets I had were 1/2-20

M12 x 1.25 was the winner for the Motorcraft MEOE67 tie rod end.
