timing help

i was wondering if advancing or retarding my timing would help my car any. right now i have a d.s.s. 5.0 stroker jlt intake, 75mm throttle body, c&l plenum, msd wires and coil packs, bbk shorty headers, off road x-pipe, and a mac exhaust. the car is a 96 gt

never heard of any kinda timing adjustments unless your running nitrous.. but hopefully someone will chime in here.

depend on I your running high octane, andwhat not. But the more timing the more power, but with more timing comes more detionation unless you run a high octane fuel. I dont have my cars timing retarded for the spray, but I use 104 unleaded in it to make sure I dont get detionation.
