i have a 95 gt 5speed with msd cap external coil wires and bbk cold air intake and exhaust. I usually set my base timing at 14btdc and i always run 93 otcane gas. My question is what should i set the timing at when i go to spray? my previous cars (fox bodies) were advanced 14degrees but never sprayed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it for every 50 you retard 2*? Cause I think I went back down to the stock setting and then retarded 4* and Im still running 91 Octane.

2* per 50 shot is very safe starting point and is recommended by most manufactuers. Some people swear by the 3* per 75 shot as a good starting point.

I sprayed a 150 shot with 10* of initial timing with one heat range colder plugs and 93 octane. Without nitrous My timing was set to 15*. It never detonated and the plugs looked brand new after a track day. I would start out on the safe side and keep a close eye on the plugs.

Yep, 2 degrees for each 50 hp of shot. Take that from the timing setting that your car runs best at all motor. Run one heat range colder on plugs, add another couple pounds of fuel pressure and monitor it. If you are running a wet kit, you should have a minimum of a 255 lph pump, I prefer the GSS340 units which are a high pressure, high volume unit. Hope this helps!

runs good with the 10 degrees and spray? times?

Yeah mine ran fine with 10* and a 150. It was a foxbody and it ran 7.3s @94 in the 8th with stock suspension. Just start safe and work your way up. Nitrous doesn't need a lot of timing to run good
