To seaform or not

I want to seafoam my car but iam worried about taking away sludge that is holding my engine together. I have properly maintained the car but i do not know about previous owners. I want to hear some input from you guys

I seaformed my v6 mustang when i got it two years ago and it ran great afterwards and still is. I would go for it man.

saw a friend use seafoam once, the smoke show never stopped until he got a new motor.
but it was a chevy 305 so he needed one anyways...

150,000 miles on a V6? So what problem do you think seafoaming will solve that a good tune up cant? Does the car run rough or studder at idle? Im just thinking you could save that money and get some new spark plugs, wires, distributor parts, or clean your IAC and MAF and get better results.

I am already undergoing a tune up. When i am home from school i like to go through everything and make sure the car is running perfect. Seven dollars for a bottle of seafoam isnt going to set me back...

why put more junk in your engine... it says it is made to help but does it really? can you say your engine is worth risking over a $7 bottle.

if something says only oil. I only put oil in it.
if something says only fuel. i only put fuel in it. and so on.

I have also heard a few bad stories about Seafoam. That's enough to scare me away from putting it in any of my machines.

If done properly, it will only help. If done wrong, then yes it can hurt the engine. Definately use it and follow the directions to a T and you will be fine!

C'mon Ry. It gives you seven units of "crisp" throttle response, and more accelerations. It makes a lot of smoke, so it must be good. Can't believe you didn't know that.

It makes a hell of a smokeshow. I put some in a junky old Bronco II I used to have, just to try it out. Lots and lots and lots of smoke. I "thought" the idle was improved for a bit but it went right back to its old ways soon enough.
