1st time I took the cobra to the track, I've had it about 3 months now...
Had a few things holding me back such as the stock rear/stock gears, but it was still a fun time.
Car is FULL weight, I even had the spare on board.
12.79 at 112.5 mph with a 2.14 60'....going thru the traps in 3rd gear (6,300 rpms)!!! LOL!! :laughing4:

With a heavy car, aluminum flywheel, stock gears, 18" drag radials, stock suspension, and a 2.95 1st gear...it was tough to launch it.
Almost everything I did resulted in a bad bog, and if I tried to launch hard it just spun....after the 9th pass the stock posi gave up and my day was done.

Oh well, it was a good time none the less....and a learning experience. This car is much different then the lightweight foxes I've been running the last 17 years.
Anyway, I have a garage full of parts to throw at it this winter:
All the parts to build the rear- 31 spline axles, new "Cobra" t-loc, 4.30's....and going to weld it all up
A bunch of suspension parts
Steel flywheel (I'm still undecided here)
and a few more tweaks.

Here is a quick rundown:
347 (cheap cast kit with hypereutectic pistons)
Comp XE274hr cam
Dart pro 1 195 heads
Victor 50, 80mm fox style TB, 4" inlet pipe, 30# injectors and 95mm Velocity maf
1 5/8 longtubes with 2.5" X and magnaflow CB
Fidanza flywheel, Spec 3 clutch, G-force T5
Stock suspension, lowering springs, stock rear with 110K miles on it.
Self tuned via SCT pro racer kit.
