Track Time?

Ok guys, Im getting anxious to see what my car will do at the track. Itll be at an 1/8th mile strip..My car is an 89 LX..5 Spd car, 3.73 gears, gt40p heads, trickflow stage 1 cam, street burner upper/lower, cold air intake, 75 mm throttle body, and some other odds and ends..If I can get it to hook, do you think 8.80s are a realistic goal..?

I just got the car a week ago, and am new to the 5.0, so was just courious. Yeah..1/8th mile is about 30 mins away..closest 1/4 mile track is about 2+ hours

can you drive worth a crap? If you can and you have sticky tires you will be in the 8s all day long. Here is my 91GT with 373s / longtubes/ off road h / dynomax ultraflows/ pulleys / and a hurst shifter. Thats it, thats all nothing else. 101,000 miles on it....

went from that, to a newer shortblock with edelbrock heads / intake/ e cam and 7.90s

stock when I got it...

and when I sold it.......to a pecker head by the way :thefinger:

I can drive, the trannys a bit weak so powershifting will be a no no. Heh
