I gotta problem I’ve looked at this car so many times and I can’t find the problem my car has been sitting a couple months but I turned it on and put it in drive and it’s just stuck like won’t move at all and the rpm’s are high I changed the spark plug that it was misfiring from and no check engine light and also checked the transmission fluid I’m just hoping my transmission didn’t give out.

You may have to elaborate about your car.
Year? V8 or 6. Did you do anything to it before it gave up? Do any other gears work? Reverse?

Plus you'll get more views if you put it a different section of the forums.

So im taking it as an automatic transmission
When you apply the brake and shift in to Drive or any gear
Dose the shifter still move back and forth
Could be a broken cable as stated by black
Could be the cable came off the shift linkage
You would need to check both
If its ok then we will help out further steps
Let us know

Now, if the Trans Fluid is dirty, or you dropped the Pan and saw metal shavings, the Main Pressure Control in the Valve Body could be stuck closed. That could mean other Valve Body issues exist also. I used to rebuild Transmissions, and it's not too hard, but keep track of all the bolts you remove, and the make sure the CHECK BALLS don't get displaced. You can take each Ball out one at a time, and mark each location with a Scribe, or small Screwdriver and put them back in their respective positions afterward. Now, with a Flat Blade Screwdriver move each Valve back and see if they spring back to the closed position again and not sticking in any way. You'll need Carb Cleaner to clean the entire Valve Body. I hope you have some kind of Air Compressor. If they are sticking, keep moving the Valves back and forth until they move freely. You may need another set of Valve Body Gaskets, since they may tear upon removal. TMI, I know, but it may be helpful.
