Hey,
I have a 94 mustang gt AODE. Its all stock except for 3.73 gears. After I got the gears installed I noticed if I have it in drive and punch it(WOT) it gears down correctly then revs to about 5200 rpm but instead of changing gears it sits there and vibrates really bad, for 2 or 3 seconds, then JUMPS into the next gear. It also does it if I'm in 1st then get it up to the 5000 rpm range before shifting to 2nd.

At full throttle it will hit the rev limiter before it shifts into 2nd. You will have to lift off the accelerator to get it to shift into 2nd gear.

If you want to fix it, you're gonna have to get the car tuned or have someone send you a generic tune to fix it.

Does the Tweecer tuning thing work? Is it hard to use? or is it best to take it to a person who knows what their doing? XD

I have a transgo-hd2 kit.. gonna put it in next weekend. I just went for a little drive and its strange to me, It starts to vibrate at about 3800 rpm then slowly gets worse untill 5200 then its like the engine looses all power and it wont shift... is this the rev limiter for sure or could something else be wrong?
I just changed the harmonic balancer and it didnt help at all.

Did you remove the so called "dog bone" when you changed the gears? That may help with the vibration issue and definitely won't hurt being removed. Check the U-joints. Have you balanced the wheels recently? Lots of things can create a vibration issue. The loss of power at 5200 rpm is at the limit for the limiter and your tach could be off a few hundred rpms so you are at the edge. With the TransGo HD2 and 4:10 gears I just squeaked in under the limiter on WOT shifts.

Never touched the dog bone, wheels are all good(balanced a week ago), u joints checked out ok. I dont think the tach is off just because if I have it WOT in drive it will vibrate and have no power before it shifts to second. It starts vibrating and losing power before the transmission should shift(3800rpm-5200rpm is the vibration/no power zone) :BangHead:

Doesn't address the vibration issue but have you ever cleaned the MAF sensor element? The HB you changed is 50 oz,. correct? When was the last time you did a base line tune up, plugs, wires, cap rotor, air and fuel filters? These all can affect performance in the upper rpm range. I would remove the dog bone. It is there to address a harmonics issue with the stock gears.
