transmission swap

I'm considering replacing my T5 with either a TK0600 or a T56 Magnum. Is this something one guy can do in his driveway with a floor jack, transmission jack, jack stands, and basic mechanics tools? D&D has a nice looking swap kit for the T56 Magnum, but I can't tell if welding is required for the crossmember relocation... and they don't seem to have a contact email. I'll have to give them a call during the week aparently.

FYI, engine is mostly stock still but I have big things planned... as do we all :eek:ccasion14:

Nope, they include a crossmember, and brackets to bolt it on, at least on 96-98 car's they do, you just slide it back and drill for the brackets.

mine didnt, and i got mine from AMP, which is the same as D&D but in Michigan (i think) cuz theyre closer to me so shipping was cheaper

D&D is in wixom (MI). Theres a few guys who have done it, and I think a couple that are in the process of doing it. Maybe they will chime in here.
