Were you able to get the car tuned yet? Interesting seeing the GT and Cobra pickup tubes side by side. I wouldn't of thought there would be that much of a difference in size but I guess the two extra cams need the extra oil.

Update :

I picked up the car two weeks ago and it lasted 26 hours.. Made the most horrible knocking sounds i have ever heard..

I have a thread in the lounge about it but i thought i would go ahead and talk about it on here a bit. The shop took it back on a wrecker and they told me that one of the wrist pins came out and tore a cylinder up and theyre owning and covering it all. So hopefully in a week or so i'll finally be able to enjoy the car. Its been a long time coming.

The only 3 things i have left to install are shocks, E cutouts, and i got new isos for the rear because the shit for brains that had the car before decided to take them out. i need the lift on the back.

Yeah me too. They either didnt clean out the oiling holes on the motor or didnt lock the pins up the right way i would guess.

He also said if he cant get my motor to sleeve up right he is going to give me a 99 forged shortblock for free. I dont really want it but still..

..I'm so ready for all of this to be over and just enjoy my car, i need transportation and about to take a new job. I dont have the time to sit here and forge it and build it. if i did i would have been doing all the work myself like my first 2 4.6 motors instead. All i wanted was a professionally built and reliable build. Also its not like its anything crazy.. just a HCI 2v N/A.

..end rant sorry

Hey dude can you post a picture of where you installed your electric cutouts? I got the pypes 2.5'' electric cutouts and want to get them installed hopefully when I get my offroad X done.. Stupid exhaust shop by me said they won't fit which I personally think they're too lazy to make them work.

Figured i'd wipe the dust off this thread.

The car is doing great. Just getting some odds and ends pieces.

I added coilovers last year and trying to trace a sound problem there and now i'm working on some restoration pieces. I really want to paint the doors too.

Glad to hear that you got it back on the road and are getting all the little things taken care of. From your signature I see that you made your 300rwhp goal... when is the turbo happening?
