So while I was struggling getting my exhaust flange bolts free, I must have somehow brushed against one of the o2 sensors on the x pipe of my car, and it broke off..a piece of it still in the X pipe.
Im doing the PI swap now..so when I get this fired up and drive it, is it going to really screw with the performance?

I have a check engine light on now that reads "right bank too rich", but not sure what thats a result of, doubt it could have been the o2 sensor. (meaning it was already cracked in the x pipe and i completely broke it free).

Oh yea, that'll screw with it alright. If the O2's have anywhere near 100K on them, you might as well go get 2 to go.

your upstream and downstream O2 sensors are looking for 2 different readings. note the upstreams are before cats, and downstreams are after cats.

the difference in the 2 readings tells the car about the A/F ratio, and if te cat is doing its job or not.

MIL elims are nothing but a 1000 Ohm resistor in the signal wire. it makes the sensor read lower than it actually is. therefore faking like the car has a cat and it is doing its job. if you stick MIL's on your upstream, its going to screw up the readings, because now they will read abnormally low.
however, O2 sensor codes will not 'shut down' the car, you can drive around with it with no problems really.

so you have a few choices.

1. Buy new ones
2. Don't worry about it now and wait till your $$ allows
3. Junkyard some from a nice wrecked mustang
4. Go to a parking lot with a floorjack and a wrench and rape someone elses car :) j/k
