UGHHHH cobra seats

Okay, i created a thread earlier about these 03 cobra seats i bought, well tonight i cleaned them and started to install them, not only did i have tons of fitment issues with the back seat but i went to cut the factory plug in my 95 for the power seat and i got a massive spark and now there is no power, does anyone have a manual and know which fuse i could have blown? i have been looking but no luck yet... also, these tan inserts just dont match my interior like i thought they would, so i may need to get a black center console or something to make it look not so crazy... but back to the topic... does anyone know which fuse i could have blown???? thanks in advance guys

I dont have a 95 manual but you can download one, do a search. You can also look in the back of a Haynes shop manual. They suck for about everything except their schematics, they are pretty good. If all of that fails take your testlight or voltmeter, check for voltage on BOTH sides of your fuses. There are two little metal tabs that are exposed on the top of the fuse when the fuse is plugged into the fuse box. Check them all, you may have more than one burned out. the fuse for power seats is under the hood actually. use a test light to check your fuses or take each fuse out one at a time to find what one is blown. i wanna say it is either a 10 or 15 amp fuse.

never cut multiple wires at the same time. Also don't even bother with the manual when checking for fuses. Just pull/check them one at a time and it will take much less time, trust me.

Probably cut both wires at the same time, completing the ground thus, the spark and blown fuse. The rear seat bracket takes a bit of modding, it's not 100% bolt in but you can make it work. I think I just hammered the bottom of the seat bracket to the bottom on my 94, don't think I bolted the bottom 2 brackets though, stayed in place fine and didn't rattle either.

That is 100%exactly what i did

I just used some sheet metal screws to hold down the lower brackets. Self tapping ones go in like butter

I put '04 seats in my '98 and had to cut the piece off of the seat tracks that holds the seat belt buckle for the newer style, and I put bullet connectors on the wires. The '04s are a lot more comfortable. Fred
