I have a dual sync and ignition box to install on my hp system sooner or later.
Let me know if you have any issues, I would be curious. I came across a small number of posts on the Holley message forum where people had similar clearance problems. Other than that minor issue, I was happy with the set up and basic configuration.

Only other thing I ended up doing is setting my #1 cylinder in front and not in the back, basically a 180 from stock. I did that as the cable is right below the hall sensor (to mark #1)on the distributor body, and I did not want to put any access stress on that cable due to clearance on the intake.

Let me preface that with I have not actually started it yet, but it should work with no issues pending I set everything up correctly. I'll keep ya posted though.

It is nice yes!

I loaded this on YouTube so it should be a bit easier to view:

That was the first start up?!? I’ve never heard a cleaner first start from a car that wasn’t previously tuned. Good job. What fuel injection are you running on this thing?

I had started it like 2 min before and it scared the s**t out of me I shut it off right away. I did not expect it to start at all. That was with just making some basic adjustments in the computer before any attempt to start it.

I'm using the Holley Sniper EFI, and I am beyond happy with it so far, it just started up with no issues!

Finished my home made alternator mount. Pretty simple, a 40" belt, an adjustable rod end tube from March, some long bolts and collar washers, and some bar stock cut to stabilize the bottom side of the alternator and done! Also got started on getting the transmission controller functional and software loaded and up to date.

Got all of the wiring done today finally! Still have some taping and clean up to do, but good progress. With the wiring finally done I can strip and get rid of all of the old wiring......and there is al of it! This is everything I took out of the car that was not being used, a/c is gone, factory radio (I'm adding one later, all aftermarket and hidden) and pretty much everything else I did not need.Only took like 15 or 20 pounds off of the car!

And just for fun a cool shot of the engine bay!

Still have to get the shock tower brace modified to clear the distributor, do some other fab work, remove and paint the electrical panel, and finish the intake. Maybe a drive around the block this weekend

Yeah going to hang onto some of the stuff off of the harness. Tough to see but at some point before I owned the car it had a minor electrical fire, and there was a lot of stuff that was patched together (poorly I might add). That is what started me on this whole trek of repairing and replacing.

It kinda got out of control from there.

Talking about wiring, I'm running out of holes in my firewall to run wire thru. Do you guys just drill new holes or something?

I was pretty lucky, no new holes. I ended up using the port in the firewall on the pass side wheel well where all of the factory wiring went through, but as you can see by the pile above, I had some extra space for new wiring :)

There is some space from the factory though on that pass side on the wheel well to sneak some non factory wiring in if you needed to, just a PITA to fish it around the stock computer and the HVAC air box.

I was asking because there is this one little hole in my firewall above the brake pedal where i ran the BAP sensor wire, A/F sensor wire, boost gauge wire, and 2 10 gauge dual fuel pump wires... so it's a little cramped.

Got her on the ground and out of the garage finally for the first time in 4 years. Felt pretty good to have it move finally. Put a whopping 2 miles on the car just to make sure it would stay cool, stay running, and not leak everywhere.

Good news, no leaks, no explosions, no fires, and a lot if little issues to figure out. Drives nice, the rear suspension and ARB transfers a lot of NVH but I kinda expected that to happen. It is not the end of hte world though, and there is no interior in it so when that is done it should knock down some of the NVH.

The intake hat I have has a bit of a whistle to it at part throttle, I thought it was a squeaky belt at first. The car would not go into third but I think it is a programming thing with the computer so need to look at that. No dash speedo but that may just be a wiring thing. Lots of little clean up things to do on my next batch of days off.

Here she is in the sun finally! My wife shot some videos also and it was kind of funny, it was like a whole neighborhood event, everyone was surprised to see it actually move!

Nest on tap is to finish the intake and get the engine bay all finished up. Then move to the interior and get the wiring sorted out, tied away, and get the trans computer sorted out.

Cannot wait to get some miles on it, I'm sure there will be issues, but so far so good!
