Did you guys put a diagnostic machine on it yet??
Also are you getting fuel pressure

Are you getting Spark

Have you checked the CCRM

Have you check all your fueses

Is the intera switch popped open or closed ??

These are the basics to look at good luck .. Without code reader or diagnostic machine its going to be fun .,.

hm...if they left the battery connected when they started the welding...could that have done anything to the computer or ignition system?

With the intera switch there is a button just push bit back in ..On the ccrm you need a test light to make sure working. Before you do anything have someone with diagnostic machine look at the car because sounds like when they were welding a cage in they burned some wire somewhere and blow a fuse or something. You need someone that knows cars to help u ..

problem is its at the shop that did the cage and they don't work with mustangs ever so they don't have anything to work on it. I can just grab a code reader or diagnositc at autozone or something right?

ALWAYS have the +/- undone when welding on a car.....if the shop doesnt know that i'd get my car to a shop that actually has certifications

more than likely it is the intera switch,.....the switch could have gotten tripped by all the beating and cutting on the install

If they didn't disconnect the battery, they could have burned up the computer.
ck for spark. and fuel pressure.

Based on previous posts I'm assuming the shop didn't touch the motor. But assuming all is good with fuel/spark/etc. I'd check timing with the distributor.

Have them stop being noobs and actually do some diagnostics. "I can hear the fuel pump" is pure laziness. Get off their asses and throw a gauge on it.

If the shop doesn't have the tools to diagnose it then THEY need to tow it to a shop with the right equipement.
You drove it into the shop and you should be able to drive it out. this is not your problem.

ok...so here's the deal so far. it's a roll cage shop that so even though it's messed up on them...I'm not holding them to it because they don't have the ability to do it. stanger banger...we've met before so if you pm me your # we can talk more. ok so the car....checked inertia switch and it was fine, car seems to be getting fuel....not spark, pulled a plug wire and put another plug in it...didn't get anything. the msd ignition box is getting power....BUT seems that where it supplies power to the coil it loses it where the wires splice out to the coil and to the factory ignition. if you guys are following me. Car has a new dizzy, new coil, new ignition module from the issues i had before. they said that it died mid moving it around after running for about a minute. I had this issue before where it would do that. replaced the dizzy after the coil and ignition module and it was fine for a few months till now. I'm not sure where else to go with it. when i hook up the factory ignition to the coil and take the msd box out of the equation still no start. I'm thinking i might just remove the msd setup completely as it didn't make a huge difference anyways. i'm not making huge #'s or anything. if i do that...it's just connecting all the factory ignition back up and finding the issue causing no spark and it should be good hopefully right?
