yea I have to keep laughing a bit at how everyone really wants to love the led idea. So far the data shows they are not as bright and just as expensive. I think everyone knows I love technology more then most but the leds have some more learnings till they are really ready.

Very interesting month. I had the wiring harness and relay for the fuel pump burn out. After replacing those items with a new one I noticed how hot the new wiring and rely were getting. I went ahead and purchased an Amp meter with a clamp which everyone should have. Pump read 37 amps when it should be 14 amps at idle. I sent in the pump to Magnafuel and those guys have excellent customer service and pleasant to talk to. Repairs where under $50 shipped back to me. Looks like from what I can tell the 25 micron filter got clogged and caused the pump to work extra hard to keep pressure up. The 74 micron filter was fine. A test that was suggested from the guys at MF is to run water through the filter from a hose. The water should leak out from the lower portion of the the filter without ever reaching the top and over flowing. I have not used the car that often and at times it has sat for multiple weeks or months without being started. MF suggested to start it at least every 2 weeks. Can't blame the pump but I will have to keep an eye on this for the future. I currently run a Protuner 750 which may be overkill for my current setup may get the 625 to reduce amp draw at idle.

On another note I finally got the Maximum Motorsports coil overs for the rear. Also got some QTP cutouts. I think I will mount them after the cats as I want the option to add cats if the fumes are too much. I will disconnect the X pipe and see how it sounds before I do any cutting. I will post up a vid once I am able to do so as pump has not arrived from MF.

I was running dual relays and both had burnt out. I am running a single relay now. Only reason for dual is to have a redundant relay. I noticed the voltage dropped considerably to 12.4 volts with fans on and I knew something was wrong.

Great tool to have ebay has it for around 25 for the 210 however if you want to read over 100 amps better to get the 204 model, I got both.

Notice the color difference on the mesh. I Got the 25 micron filter from MF but got a bigger filter. MF said that they have tried to cleaned the Filter but have not been able to and replacement is only alternative.

After all that building, you dont use the car? What kind of craziness is that? lol.

Im glad to see that nothing major went wrong after all the wiring that has been done. How is you megasquirt working, still kicking along the way it should?

With a young a family that's into sports time is limited plus weather is terrible. Ms has been great no issues, going to start working on a gas tune so that I can start blending tables. Once we get into our fall weather I'll be taking car out more. Right now it is hot and humid not good for a car without AC.

Damn I have many a relay but never seen one melt like that.

I love my cut outs after my cats. It doesn't really make it all that louder just much more mechanical/lopey. I found a guy that made a circuit that would open the cats when the wide open throttle switch was hit and then close them automatically 30 secs later. I could see if I could find him if it sounds like fun to you

I had dual relays which means that the pump had double the time to cause more heat. I really don't want cutouts open at wot. I just want it for cruising around and start up. Want to hear cams. I have seen cutouts that are vacuum operated, great for turbo cars.

Just got my new 25micro filter. If you run tap water on the new one water never reaches the top. For sure my old filter was clogged and size has nothing to do with this test despite the new one being larger. Took a video of this test and will make a video for YT to help others.

Damn that fuel pump is loud.

I think I might have gone overboard with the pump as it is rated for 2000hp lol. I could get away with the 625, if I can score a good used one may try that to reduce amp draw. It is really not that loud when car is on the floor. A buddy has a Weldon that cost him 2x more than the 750 and his is really loud.
