i want a bang for the buck mod and i heard that a water/meth can help out a high compression motor. i just wanted to ask if it was a waste of money of if i could benefit from it? thanks guy oh and im running 10.5:1 for my compression

My understanding of water/meth injection is that it's primary function is being used to cool IATs and it's best used in combination with forced induction of some type to cool the temp of the charged air. Not sure how much impact it would have on an N/A set up.

besides the drastic cooling affect of the intake air temps it also adds octane (approximately 118 along with 93 in the tank) which is why people with high compression use it along with pump gas vs paying for race gas. i would not consider 10.5:1 "high". i don't think you would benefit "much" from it over pump gas for the cost of the kit

i thought it was a little high seeing as 8.5:1 is stock but i dunno im just looking for a nice bang for the buck upgrade other than a turbo or a blower and i wont go with nitrous.

Yeah like modo said, you wont see much of a gain. n/a its gonna help you run more timing from the added octane, not so much lower iat temps because they shouldn't be too high anyway. But its not gonna probably be much of a bang for the buck upgrade.

Ive never hear seen it on a N/A car either and I'll also agree with the other guys and say it's prob not worth it. I however will be using the kit on mine shortly as I'm 10.5cr and turbo and it sound like it's the ticket for power adders. Your car would love the juice man.

Dude your sig is sick I love the flashers

haha, thanks man. I was board.

I completely agree with the guys, it may help a tad but not nearly like it would a boosted setup. There are other ways of gaining hp on a mild build like that. Now if you are 12:1 we are talking another ball game

I think your car made darn good numbers for what it has done. I cant think of anything to bolt on and make more power, I hear longtubes are a PIA. Perhaps some rear control arms and slicks; those would help improve track times if thats what your looking for.

If I had your setup with Pi swap and forged rods and pistons I'd probly save up and get a s/c. You could crank the boost up and really make some nice numbers.

Yeah man, thats a pretty stout foundation and 300rwhp is a great base. If you didnt mind the work you could always start ripping off those stock heads/cams and upgrading that, or like the.greg said start looking into boost. Just keep in mind you will definitely need to upgrade your fuel system if going boost

i want a set of trick flow heads with a nice set of comp 270 cams. and to top all that off i was thinking about a 2.1 KB a Novi set up. then i plan on getting 24lb injectors and 255 pump. do you guys think that fuel set up would work with what i want? keep in mond this stuff wont happen for a couple years tho seeing as we just had our lil girl. but any input would great. thanks guys

what are your hp goals with a blower? Also, what are the specs on the comp 270s? If planning on going boost in the future keep in mind its smart to start adding boost friendly parts. With a blower, I dont think that will be nearly enough fuel. Maybe n/a for the time being, but depending on your goals you will need a minimum of 42# injectors
