OK . My 95 gt has a all aluminum radiator, 180 thermostat, 2 12" fans. I have the fans hooked together, with the blacks, (grounds) to the black on the stock wiring, and the reds, from the fans, to one of the other wires in the stock fan harness. A friend told me that I could use either wire, in the stock wiring, for power, and that the fans would only come on when needed, get hot enough. Now the temp never reachs the R in normal. But heres the thing, this morning I went out and started the car alittle early cause it was frosty. I turned on the windshield defrost on high, and went to scrape the windshield. The car wasnt runnig for maybe 1 minute and I notice the rad fans come on. I know the car wasnt no where near warm enough for them to come on. so my question is, do I have the fans hooked up to the wrong wire in the stock wiring??? I was reading and its seems the fan can react to the AC unit being engaged. Which wire besides the ground do I hoo the hot(red) wire to in the stock fan wires???? there are only three, black and 2 others (cant remember the colors)...... any help would be appreciated!!!

OH BTW i dont want to wire them to a switch, I want the ecu/temp to dictate when they come on!
thanks

The way you have the wiring is fine.
The reason the fans came on was is because when you turn on the defrost the a/c compressor comes on. AND when the a/c compressor is on the hi speed fan automatically comes on.
Your system is wired fine.
The 2 other wires in the harness besides the black (gnd) is for the low and hi speed fan. Your fan control is obviously wired to the hi speed side because it comes on with the a/c.
