thanks man. im still on the look out for any old german steel 1963 and older. aircooled vw's are the shiz. only reason i have the stang now and not another old vw is cause i built a buddys stang a few times so i got a daily i knew every nut and bolt of.

I love VWs. My sis has a NICE 68 Bug and I reaaallllyyyy want to get one too but I'm too poor for ANOTHER project car. Its bad and sounds sooooo nice.

project cars is all they will ever be. no getting around it, if its not the points going out its the coil if its not that your carbs need sync'd or your gas cable will brake on your fan shourd.

but god theres nothing like stopping a line of cars at the mall because your high centered on a speed bump burning out with 45hp.
for me its gotta be 63 or older, i guess a real clean 64 would do.

rust is not a crime!

i would LOVE to have that. exactly the car i want.

Ya was my dream that i had to let go. I had the car and 70% of the parts stock piled waiting for time to work on it but i slowly had to realize i would never have the money or time to complete the car so i had to sell it off to someone who would do the car justice.

I've realized over time that I will never have time or the money required for a project, but if I take that attitude, then I will never get it done. Make time, find a way to make the money, and get out there. If you really want it to happen, then you'll find a way. I turn wrenches on the side, sell parts, buy stuff, turn it, you name it man. It funds my projects, so that I can still pay for school with my weekly check from work. I'm not knocking you, just most folk that tell me they neither had the money or the time, usually lacked the drive rather then anything else.

1996 Mazda Protege DX, reliable as the sunrise, I still see it running around town.

Don't have a pic, but it was a 70 Barracuda. Sold it after I bought the 88 vert I have in the projects section.

Oh man my list is long, the one before the 96 gt I have now was an 88 fox that was a project car, but the DD before the fox was an 1991 Eagle Vision TSI. Unfortunately I do not have photos of it. I think it was because I was never too proud of it. LOL

trust me man i understand what you are saying! But With the remodeling of the house, a new baby, and 2 other "project" vehicles that one was the one that needed the most so it went. its all about Priorities and mine have changed dramaticly since my son arrived. But still retained some toys like my custom 97 CBR and my 97 GT.
