It's called droop. It happens with all mustang bumpers up until '99. It's just due to the unsupported section of the bumper getting hot in the sun, and eventually drooping. It's notorious on the fox body cars, and happens pretty frequently on our cars. My car has a little droop in the bumper.

I have a new rear bumper to go on mine. Is there something I can do to keep it from drooping? My car has a lot of bad areas! So far, she does not sag/droop though! Now it will though!

My car had major droop issues. When I took it off, not all the nuts were snug, so I think that may have been at least part of the problem. Snug up the nuts and you'll be in better shape than mine was in. :dunno:

i wonder if anyone has made any kind of support for the underside of the top portion? :dunno:

One does exist for the Fox cars. Not sure about the SN95's though.
