alright guys, getting the car caged soon and in the time it's being caged, considering having the wheels powder coated a different color. what do you guys think? i will post a pic so that those of you with photoshop skills can do your magic. the color of wheel will most likely be incorporated into the color of the cage as well.

its different but so is your current color but your current color looks better imo. Idunno I mean there are the old stand by colors of black, white, and silver but I am not sure I would do that myself if I were you. They make some cool candy colors now in powder, why not do a candy red wheel? Hell I think your base color of gold under it would give a pretty deep looking color if ya ask me.

Or how about the center black but leave the edge the current color?

have an example of this candy color? is it almost like an anodized look? i do like the color now, have thought gold too...or a gunmetal, but do want something unique.

yeah that's kinda the finish i want...i actually like that color a ton too. i wonder if it would be too much red though? i think the intake would look sick that color too if i did the cage that color.

well you know matching the candy color to the factory color will be really hard. More then likely no matter how hard you try it will come up a shade er two off and look a little strange imo. If it were me I think I would go for a really dark red, like almost black just to make the difference not look like an accident. going lighter will probably end up with a pink like I suggested above so imo darker would be the only way to go.

i wouldn't want it to match the paint. i would most likely go a darker, more maroon if i did it anyways. to offset it. otherwise it's too much red. all this being said i might be either wrapping or painting the car flat black too.

I think keeping it the same color would be good bc it almost matches ur interior. Paint the cage the same color as the interior or do red

as in paint the cage a bronz-ish color? i don't think it would look good tan or gold. lol. red would be cool or black but those are kinda played out too. i'd do red over black.

yea definitly go darker. One thing I LOVE about the DFG color on my car is that if you catch in in a shadow, or at dusk it looks black but you just need a little bit of light to see the green in it but even then it looks like some special effect. I think it would be cool to get the same effect with red and maybe keep the lip black.
