Labor time to do the job is 14.7 hours (motors guide) so check and see what their labor rate is.

I remember guys saying they were being quoted @ $1000 for labor. Its not that difficult if you can read and have some tools.

At our labor rate 81.00 its $1190.7 You need to remember this is the time to R&R teh motor, then R&R the heads, so they ad alot in there. but personally I can have the motor dorpped out the bottom with the trans attached in about 2 hours or so with a good friend.

I have gotten to swap heads with gaskets you would be looking about $1300
and.... head gaskets alone are 200, the total after gaskets, head bolts, fluids and labor is $880

Im picking up the heads & intake for $250

I was just wondering what everyone else was quoted. i think I will just get a few locals to come over and change them out.

why the hell are headgaskets 200 alone? the entire head swap kit from ford racing is 105 that comes with head gaskets, manifold gaskets and bolts.

do more research fella dont get ripped at the dealer
