Everyone said a 373 for the 95 but I'm also building a sc 347(taken a while due to other builds haha) so I wanted to do a 3.55 so I wouldnt waist my money later redoing gears because I want a car that has top speed at VIR as well. so what do you think about 3.55s?

well i mean me and my dad are spending the money to get the revs of a 4.6 were going for 6,800 for the power drop and 7000 redline for mistakes. so i calculated 355 withs get me 160+ while 373 is like 149s and il be getting my ass busted with 355s but alot of the cars at vir at 160 haha but i gotta be streetable to.

Is this drag racing or road racing. Because if you are trying to trap 160 in the 1/4 good luck. :hammer: I don't even think you would want to go that fast road racing. 3.55s will put you at 134 mph at end of 4th and 3.73 will put you at like 123mph at end of 4th.

Talk to replicar the suspension mod about road racing. I've been in his car and it is quite fun for stock motor.

3.73 should be fine. like stated before, you wouldn't want to install 3.55 only to find out later you want 3.73. besides, if it's not going
to be the daily driver, then why not step up to the larger gear?

I put in a 3:73 axle, well happy with it, it goes well off the line, and i can still cruise at 70mph [just over 2k rpm] on the motorway. :)

i'm kinda thinking the other way. 355's and here's why: 1st- your looking for top speed on a road course, 2nd- your motor is going to be making more power and torque and the reason most change gears is because that's what they don't have.

not for long

Mine is not my DD either, but later down the road i want to use F/I. and bigger gears seem worthless, specially if you go with a Centrifugal SC.IMO.

So 3.73's.should be fine.

that goes both ways tho, regardless of what gear is the right choice I'd rather be stuck with a lil less gear than i want rather than too much. His power is going to make up for not having a steep gear anyways and it's nice when 1st gear is usable.

The only Mustang that came with 3.55's is the 03 cobras,as far as i know.

Maybe the Cobra R have bigger gears, but im not sure.
