The only Mustang that came with 3.55's is the 03 cobras,as far as i know.

Maybe the Cobra R have bigger gears, but im not sure.

I've got a 347 D-1 procharged and my new rear I put 3:55's in. I haven't ran it yet but with the new motor and same boost I think the torque and hp will definately make up for gear. If not I'll put them in my 94.

i got a 2.95 first gear and 3.73 rear end.. my car does 137-140 around 5400 rpms. in 4th.

and i can cruise at 80 and be at 1900 rpms...

i think you'll be fine but i'd just use the gear calculator to figure out the RPMs n such of where you want to be.
