Is this just an inspection hole? Shouldn't it be covered with something? Even after the transmission is installed, the hole is still open towards the front.
What is it?

Torque converter bolt access for automatics. None of mine have ever had the plug there.

Nice. Thanks. Aren't you worried about crap getting into your clutch? I live on a dirt road, so I'm going to see what I can do about covering it.

Mine has a plastic cap. Im assuming you can measure the diameter and get a cap online or at a hardware store.
I have multiple clutches, but they are all inside the transmission now lol
Seriously though, I never worried about it at all. Everything would just hit the back of the flywheel.

I'd just feel better knowing that it's closed up. Seeing how it's for auto only, I'll either find a cap or JB Weld a soup can lid on lol
