do i need to use a heat gun or something to make them easier to get off?

No just peel them off and scrub the Gunk off with Simple Green then throw some wax on.

Do it on a sunny day, you'll thank me when you are tearing off the stripe in one piece and not a bunch of little pieces.

use a heat gun or hair dryer dude...I ripped off some paint when I took a sticker off without a heat gun.

When I used to work at a Ford dealership when I was younger, we actually used 3M Adhesive Remover and a metal razor blade to remove stickers on both new and used cars and trucks. The stickers just kind of float off of the paint.

Would you suggest the same thing to remove the "pinstripe" sticker?

Yeah, it's what I used to remove the pinstripes that were on my car when I bought it.

I'd recommend this method. If you use Simple Green, be sure to dilute it with water.
