I have been thinking alot lately on what i really want to do with my motor and after alot of thinking i have decided that i want to go with some trickflow heads but they offer different heads with the one of 170cc runners being the cheapest. I remember being told that going too big on a small motor is not always a good idea and the head will only flow as good as the intake allows it so is a 170cc runner enough for a 302 ? At first i wanted to go gt40p heads but its too much of a hassle with finding good condition heads then having a machine shop work them then finding gt40p headers, by the end i would have spend the same money for stock ford heads. Trickflow seems like the best option.

I will install trickflow stage 1 cam. I already have a cobra intake that i will use since its already in the car. Until i get money for a much better intake.

I thought the "runner" was the chamber leading up to the combustion chamber in the intake?

I run the twisted wedge 170s and a stage 1 cam on mine. Great sound, good idle and performance.

Go the biggest you can afford.

Can always make the bottom end breathe more. Heads.. not so much.

If you think that if, (I have too big of head on my motor)...

You should really think (I dont have enough motor for my heads)

Can always stroke, raise compression, 351, increase RPM limit (internals/block), ect.
190 Fast as casts arent going to make your 302 into a lame dog. I just would hate to have to buy 2 sets of heads to be happy later on down the road.
