I have a miss somewhere, seems to miss when you first tip-in the throttle shakes the damn car pretty good. Then it seems to clear up, i can also tell when i'm cruisin at a constant speed thats its got a miss just from the sound of the exhaust tone not a whole lot of cutting out just a miss... lol i checked the resistance of the SP wires an some sensors that my chilton told me too, the timing, no CEL comes on, and i'm pretty much stuck on wtf... Could someone point me in a good direction?

its a '94 5.0 no major mods, just stock injectors, m.a.c. shorties, msd cap, msd rotor, its an automatic, and that pretty much sums it up. Last major tune, like fuel filter, wires, AL plugs, an stuff was about 4 months ago. I only run 91 octane timing is set a *12 degrees, an just some tinkering like tps voltage an IAC cleaning 3 weeks ago. It just started this shit about a week ago...

this might some dumb but have you checked your plugs and make sure none of them backed out of the heads at all? also check your coil and look under the cap on the dizzy and make sure everything looks good. It sounds like its a spark problem for sure... check everything ignition.

okay, i haven't pulled my plugs yet. I have touched everyone of them an the don't jiggle. I checked under the cap it looks fairly new still, there was a little build up on the cap i tried to scrape what i could off, which wasn't awhole lot just noticed when i was checkin resistance on my wires that you couldn't touch them there lol. How in the heck do ya check the coil bro? If it (coil) gots spark it gots spark right? But i'll pull the plugs an go from there

I also have mac shorties, an I notice they run real close to a couple of the spark plug boots and I checked my plugs and one was burnt though. I also have those protectant socks to keep them protected from heat but one of them had just rose up on me. But I now have new plugs.

well that was kinda dumb statement from me being as if the car runs the coil is probably fine. I was thinking like my wifes 01 gt how it has the coil on plug and one of her coils went out. But just to make sure the plugs are getting spark get a long pair of needle nose pliars and while the engine is running pull the boot off and the plug and then touch it back to the plug and make sure you see spark.. be careful this probably isn't the best tip of advise becuz I have been zapped doing this before but I have troubleshot a few different cars ignition problems this way. Or at least ruled alot of things out.

It shouldn't have any wiggle at all because the car will strat to shake as if it had a misfire or something. this movement can cause massive damage to your crankshaft due to imbalance, plus the shaking could start loosening things like bolts and or brackets....
