"I ran 14.0 @ 100 with PI cams, PI intake, offroad midpipe, catback, and SCT programmer."

.... .. 14.1 is what im standing by. :)

If you put a converter and gears in my car, or a 5-speed and gears, and couldn't get to AT LEAST a 13.6, then there are driver problems. Period.

Although I COMPLETELY agree with you that a very large percentage of Mustangs out there don't have the drivers that can get the potential numbers out of them. While I have seen BONE STOCK 99-04 cars run 13s,and bolt-on 99-04 cars run 12s numerous times, I have also seen full bolt-on, geared GTs running 15s, blown GTs running 14s, new 5.0s running 14s, Kenne Bell Cobras running 12s, etc. It's ALL in the driver, especially with a 5-speed car.

You commented in my thread yesterday with my burnouts and racing pics

oh, was that you? lol. ahhaha. i guess i was looking at the cars more than the poster. LOL

you left out the more important facts of that car...

" Stock converter, stock gears, full weight"

I had 3.08s in my auto...with 4.10 gears and a converter that same car would probably run low 13s.

Under optimal conditions a bolt on, Pi swapped, 5 speed with a good driver could probably run high 12s.

high 12s?? ? ? ? ?? lol. lets stop e-racing... right now. lol.

race starts at 0:58 and goes to 1:12 = 14 seconds.

convertible = 14.4

13.795

with full swap, LTs, 3.73s, e85, bla blah blah.. ..

14.1 on his first time out.

LOL

I said under optimal conditions with a good driver.

The power is there. It would most likely have to be done on slicks lol.

Just because you can find slow drivers doesnt mean your correct.

Yes I agree that 99% of them will run slower than 13.5 but im just saying, its possible.

if he did, does it still constitute a "pi swap" ?? its like asking "can God make a hot dog so big, even He cant eat it?"

Good read. For what it's worth, if I was you, I would shoot for mid 13s and go from there. I had almost the same mods and ran in NJ, which I believe is about at sea level. 2nd time ever at the track, I ran a best of 13.72 and a number of runs that day to back it up (mostly 13.7s and 13.8s). Few (minor) differences are that I didn't have LCAs, do have high flow catted X and 3:90s compared to your 4:10s and ran Nittos on stock 17" rims. No tune and didn't power shift as the track is far from my home. Excellent advice on the burnouts above and I left the line at about 2500rpm letting the clutch slip a tiny bit. Good luck and please post up your time slips, pics and videos!!

get a stalled converter for your RPM torque curve. Not some astronomically high thousands number. also, i drove like shit cause i brought a knife to a gunfight. IE. street tires.

The biggest thing is know when ur 2v falls on its face

This is truth, my first 98 gt went 13.36@101, stock heads/PI cams& intake/ stock manifolds. because of good air, and powershifting no later than 5500. anything after that and i lost mph.

i think 13.8 is a good estimate not knowing how much track time the driver has, the weather, car wieght, ect.

Yea exactly I shifted anywhere from 55-58 powershifting Everytime.another big factor is the 60ft time that can cut alot off the big end

Yea, this is like when people said my car would run mid to high 12s and i told them they were wrong. Then I ran low 11s. I'm saying the power is there but its prolly one in a million that will actually use all of it which is why most pi cars run high 13s
