whats the difference between a 03 and a 04 cobra??

so i was wondering if there were any kind of difference between the 03 and 04 cobra

the only thing i can think of is the colors that were available. some colors were specific to either 03 or 04

just internal stuff. nothing major... everything made before april 03 has ford-blue ink on it (on the engine block, i forget the exact production dates)... i forget what it means (if i recall the blocks with blue ink are less desireable because they are weaker? or are they stronger due to more nikle, i honestly forgot...)

thats about all i know... if you get a REAL cobra head kinda guy, who knows them in and out, he can tell you exactly what's up, but other than that, i dont know...

head problem? are you talking about the plug in the back of the 03 heads? that the 04 ran a coolant line to?

no i think the 03 cobras were notorious for a head tick that had to be fixed.

03's also had fewer sparkplug threads. in 04 they updated the threads. the yellow color went from zinc yellow to something else(different shade)

The blocks are the same for both years.

03's had the head tick issues.

In 03 you could get the 10th Anniversary Package.

i tho the 03 had some kind of crappy wiring from the factory then it was fixed for 04

I believe another difference with the '04s was something with a more efficient exhaust system. it was changed to remove the gas guzzler tax that the '03 Cobra had on it if my memory serves me. Gas mileage rating for the '03 was 16/22 where as the '04 was 17/24.
