Wheel Spacers needed

I just picked up a set of 17x9 mustang bullitts and was wondering what size wheel spacers I should use on the rear? I noticed without spacers they look sinked in, I want them to stick out a little.

Tape a piece of string onto your wheelwell where you want the tire to be, measure from string to tire, buy spacer

Is there any difference between regular wheel spacers and the hub centric pieces? Which would better to buy since I'm getting them off ebay.
