I know to go hubcentric and all that other good stuff... Looking at sets on Ebay... should I go 1.5 or 1.75" on stock 17X8 split spokes (see sig)? Getting new tires in the next couple of weeks so I'll be doing them then.

just fyi anything under 1.25 won't fit. but 1.25 fit's perfectly

i'd just do 1.25 , i asked this same questions and 1.5 was too far out and 1.25 was perfect.

My tires already sling sh** up the side of my car in the rain, don't you guys have more of a problem with that running spacers?

i have wanted to run spacers but i am concerned with the Tire getting shredded by the fender

...wheels spacers as big as you guys want will put major strain on the axle barring.

not for real. maybe if you have one that weighs 25lbs on one side and 2 on the other it will. sure it sticks out a little bit farther but the distance it sticks out is not enough to cause a problem.

a heavier rim will cause more strain on the axle than a 1" spacer...

I ran a 1.25" spacer for a while on my stock wheels...they kept coming loose and my wheels would wobble..

Kinda scary, maybe I just had a bad experience?

Spacers suck if you drive it all the time. Rough roads, etc. These all contribute to them coming loose. Anything over 1" is too much and does cause strain on the axle bearings. I know a few people running them but most have removed them after having some kind of problem with em.

You ever bench press anything? try it with your hands close then go all the way out and tell me it isnt harder?

Do buy cheap ebay ones!

H&R makes a good set of hubcentric spacers. I got the 25mm (1") and they look perfect.
