I run a 295 on a 9'' .. so that is more than possible.. on an 8.5 is a little much though..

and no i dont have a 5/16th spacer pic... why 5/16s? Seems a bit small.. just put a 1'' and be done with it

Not entirely true. I have 1.25" with my 9" wheels and it looks tits.

1" is to much for me maybe different off set?

I run 1.25" spacers in the rear of my cobra as well. They are hubcentric of course. My spacers started life as bolt on spacers. I knocked the studs out of them. My car OS fitted with 3" ARP studs for weld wheels. I simply slid the spacer over the 3" studs, through the holes that the studs were pressed into. The fitment is tight, so I am not concerned about them ever shifting or coming loose.

^ that is very odd that the tire would fit way out. Running 275s on OEM 04 cobra rims put my tires right around flush with fender..

Now they are flush/sticking out depending on which way the rear is shifted lol

So now sure why yours would sit out so far.. You are talking the rear of the car right? Not the front?
