Will a tuner let you change the wheel size say from 16 to 18? My mom has a 01 convertable that she is thinking about getting rid of because it rides rough and they just don't drive it anymore. I would take it and turn it into a saleen clone but if I can't put the saleen rims on it I don't want it.

No I am talking about the speedometer will it change so my speed is not off if I change the tires and rims to 18.

1. The way you worded that question was atrocious.
2. It depends on the tire sizes of each wheel. Usually 16's have a thicker tire (sidewall) so when you put an 18" wheel and tire, they're usually only a little bit taller than the 16

Ya as long as the overall diameter is the same, the speedo won't be off.
Take a stock size 16" wheel with a 225/55 tire. That means the sidewall is 225*55=123.75mm.
123.75mm = 12.375cm
12.375cm/2.3=5.38inches
5.38 is the sidewall so for top and bottom that's 16"+5.38+5.38=26.76"

Then take an 18 with a 245/40 tire.
245*.40=98mm=9.8cm
9.8cm/2.3=4.26inches
18"+4.26"+4.26"= 26.54"

Moral of the story, no it will not fuck up your speedo
