Where can I find battery hold down bolt?

While the engine and battery are out, I removed the battery tray. The 2 side bolts are fine but the 3” long bolt that screws in straight downward is rusted to hell (as expected). I bought a replacement kit at NAPA, but the bolt was actually too short! Wouldn’t thread. Been looking online but no luck.

Anyone know where I can get a proper replacement?

Same one I bought from NAPA for $8 today. The gold colored bolt is the one that’s too short! :-(
Think I may have to either wire brush and try to salvage this one or see if a local hardware store has something that’ll work. Hmmmm....

Yep, I was thinking to take it to a hardware store and find a match.

if its just rust then soak it in cider vinegar and it will clean right up.

just let it soak overnight, hit it with a wire brush and you will be amazed

That too. I have a wire brush on my bench grinder, and use it to clean up a lot of rusted threads. Last resort is run it through a die.
