There isn't really a 'best' tire size.

If you're asking what fits, on a 9" wheel i'd go anywhere from 245-275 and on a 10" wheel I'd do a 285-315. I also like to get a slightly bigger sidewall in the rear to give it more of an aggressive look.

Awesome. Does anybody have any pics and/or tips on fitting tires to these size wheels on our cars? Which higher end brands offer the sizes we are looking for? Are there any drag radials in these sizes. Just looking for some good info.

I know there is one, dont want to start up a new thread. Looking for best tire sizes on lowered 98 cobra with 18x9, 18x10 saleens.

My thoughts are always go what a manufacter did when they released the wheels if your getting a copy or OEM wheels. There the ones that did the research and a lot of people think they know better but the manufacturer was the one that paid people to find the best size.
265/35 and a 295/35

I probably wouldn't buy 555s, mine and other people I knew had them back in the day and they dryrotted very quickly. the 555R on the other hand i was pleased with for a street tire.

back to the OP though, here's my Saleens with 265/35 and 295/35 tires, BFGoodrich all around, KDW up front and drag radial in the rear:

Yeah ah the only ones I found worth a crap was the nt05r

the 555r still dry rot as OnyxCobra said and they dry out really quickly. Why pay so much for a nitto when you can have a Vredestein Or a BFG g force for less and is a better tire 10 fold over a 555r hmmmmm I know my choice.

Also to add to this, a 315 fits perfectly on a x10.5".
