where to set my timing?

i have a 94 gt with the mods in my sig. i think i am having overheating problems due to unacurate timing. what i need to know is what should i set it at with my mods to keep it from overheating?

not sure about your timing being a factor, but might wanna consider changing your thermostat for a 180* Mr. Gasket High Performance unit... they're only about $10 at the parts store and the quality versus the stock replacements is much better.

also make sure your hoses are good and that you burp the system (get all the air bubbles out by running the car for about 10-15 minutes w/ the radiator cap off) as that may cause a problem. drilling a whole or two in teh new thermostat and positioning it at 12 o'clock once you install it will help w/ the burping.

thats all been taken care of. i know the timing is off, it has never been set

Set timing @ 10 degrees... that is stock timing for ford small blocks... (run 87)

If you run high octane... set it at 14 degrees
