Should I go with a et street or et street radial. I have an auto with 4.10's and will be spraying. What do you guys think would be best Ill be mainly taking it to the track but do enjoy just cruizing and driving it to work now and then. I was leaning and bit more towards the radials. Please tell me which and why. If you have nothing but hear say please dont respond i want proven sources.

ET streets should never see rain. Are you having them mounted on the wheels you use daily or a separate set? If its a daily driver I would not chance getting caught in the rain w/ ET Streets

Drag Radials have a stiffer sidewall and will put more strain on your rear end. I would just get a Nice Goodyear or similar tire and run it. I would just run your slicks at the track.

This car is not a daily driver. I have good tires on the prostars now but they are nothing that will hook by any means. They are just to be driven on. I wanted to put them on the prostars that I drive on. As I dont have an extra set nor do I want to waste the extra money on a spare set. This car is not a daily driver at all I have my Honda for that so it will never get driven in the rain. I dont want to have to swap wheels at the track since i normally go alone and dont have a place to put a jack, and the extra set of wheels. How many miles can you get out of the et streets compaired to the radials. I would like to drive this car home once in awhile(once or twice a year) and run at my home track with my friends that is about 250 miles away.

They do have a stiffer sidewall but the slicks will snap anything long before a DR will. As far as the mileage Im not really sure I have a set of the MT DR's that Ive made a lot of pass's on at the track and some street driving and they are still good. Ive never used ET Streets but it all depends on how many runs you do. My DR's had lasted a few years at the track w/ frequeent trips until I switched over to the Drag slicks

True but ET Street's are a wrinkle wall tire so that rule goes out the window.

wayyyy off tipic but not even close, drag radials will break alot of other things before a slick.

To get back ON topic. I have ET street radials, they are nice, they work well on the street, can get pretty sketchy in rain ( got cought a few times by a random storm, one was a "super cell" that was insane!!! They work very well at the track when heated up. I never ran them but Ive let people make passes on my tires and alot of other people use them with great success.

As far as the ET Street They are basically a "dot" slick. They are bias ply and will get you your best bang out of a "drag radial" and will always perform great, but wont last long at all i got almost 10k out of my et street radials last season and still ahve some life left on them.

Your going to spin on a DR, your not going to spin on a slick. They will both break parts but in diffrent ways. If you dont wheel hop your just going to spin on a DR and thats the same as spinning on a street tire. Your not going to spin on a slick your either going to bog it or hook it, either one can cause parts to break.

I understand what your saying Duff the shock of a sticky drag radial can break stuff. Im not worried about that shit brakes. I think im going to go with the et street radial so Ican still cruise. and cuz i can get them for 350 a pair new.

yea the et street radials are good, if you need to fit in a drag radial class or something like that then you would go with the street. but the radial is a good tire, you will be happy
