Which hood would be more at home on my GT?

Cobra Double R hood

Saleen extractor

or just a OEM cobra hood?

im having a tough time deciding. Really the stock hood is basically the saleen minus the extractors, so im leaning toward the double R...

what do you think? I like other peoples opinions.

I think the Cervinis single lift cowl would look nice.. it's something around a 3" lift, but it's not straight up and down on the sides of the cowl. Black Ice has one. Looks really clean.

^ buy one exactly like this unless you have eleventybillion HP and a sheetmetal intake

Also, the Saleen heat extractor hood clears a 351 so it offers some rise!!

I have never liked the high rise look. I can understand it if you need the space but they rarely look good to me.

If you were super bad ass and had no 4v parts on a 2v car I would suggest a different one, but in this case, go with the saleen.

i just got the saleen like 2 weeks ago and it's great. From far away it doesn't look like a tumor(cowl hoods) but the closer u get the more it pops. It does offer clearance and the one i have is functional. Pretty sweet after the car has been running in the cold and u stop, u can see heat waves coming out. Mine bolted right on with a little adjustment to the latch area. I really need to update my pic. The one i have is from the first day i got it running in june. Night and day now.

I was not sure what I wanted. I wanted a Baby R, single step, or the stock 96-98 Cobra. I decided on the Cobra. Can't go wrong on any, just what you prefer.

I was flipping between the Saleen and R hood, found a quality R hood locally so I went for it. I think both hoods look really good, if it had been a Saleen hood locally I'd probably have one of those instead. R hood makes the car look meaner though :angel4:
