I ran 275's on the front for several years and they fit fine but i didn't like the way they tracked in the ruts on highways so when i purchased new wheels i went with a 8.5 front so i could use a 255/35/18 and it was a huge improvement. I used to run a 275/35 on a 9" front.

Your dilemma is the wheel size, 9" is perfect for a 275 but you might be ok with a 265 front...

What he says. I have 275 40/17's on my 03 Cobra rims on front. they fit great but you can tell every little rut in the road.

275/40-17s on 95 cobra r's(17x9)all the way around here. look great, slight rub at wheel lock. stick out just a bit from the fender but look real slick... they do make the car wander in lanes, but just pay attention and who cares?

here's a pix of mine now...it looks like it doesn't fit right. The sidewall is in too far.

Damn, there isn't no way that is a 255, i got 255 on my 95 cobra r's and it puffs out the side a little, so the tire is touching the curb before my rim is. :)

It looks like that tire isn't seated right.....IMHO

So you think maybe it's just the brand that may run a little smaller? They are Hankook Ventus tires...any idea if Hankook usually runs small?

OK, I tracked down the specs for my tires. They do run small. The tread width is only 8.7"...most others run 9.2 or 9.3. :hammer:

SCREW HANKOOK...THEY SUCK! :slap: :slap:

I had Goodyear F1 255's in the front and it worked quite efficient and no rubbing.

Worth every penny...going from Nittos to the F1 GSD3's was a night and day difference.
